    This nationwide entertainment industry leader has an immediate 6-8+ month contract opportunity in New York City for a Front End Manual Web Tester. This position requires working onsite 2-3 days/week in NYC or Lawrenceville, NJ. Will be responsible for performing manual testing on Front End Angular websites. You will play a vital part in ensuring that users enjoy their experience when utilizing apps across various platforms. Your contribution will have a significant impact on the quality an expanding range of products and services. As a champion of quality engineering and testing, you will drive these activities throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Your expertise in software testing will enable you to influence superior software design, advocate for best practices, devise effective testing strategies, and create and maintain test cases.

    Contract Duration: 6+ months (strong chance for extension and potential conversion)

    Required Skills & Experience


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.


    • Quality Experience - 3-5 years of professional software Quality Engineering experience involving consumer software application manual testing (Front End Web Manual Testing on Angular websites).


    • Strong knowledge of web applications, microservices and web services architecture.


    • Experience testing Angular front ends.


    • Agile and Jira experience.


    • Experience mentoring other QA members or sharing best practices is preferred.


    • Troubleshooting skills - Ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologies.


    • Prefer a knowledge and/or understanding of test and reporting tools such as AWS logging, Charles proxy, Debookee, JIRA, HP ALM, Confluence, Adobe Target, SQL Server, SOAP UI and Putty. Experience with Swagger a plus.


    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


    • Experience with Gherkin is a plus.


    • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

    What You Will Be Doing


    • Reviewing project documentation as a basis for testing documentation and product understanding.


    • Designing, developing and executing test cases.


    • Taking initiatives with limited supervision under the guidance of the team Lead.


    • Identifying test cases with the appropriate coverage as candidates for the automated regression suite.


    • Tracking and reporting testing efforts and status for visibility.


    • Coordinating and executing End-to-End testing in systems integrated Test environments.


    • Working closely with QE analysts and software engineers in the development and execution of test cases as part of a full-lifecycle team.


    • Helping to identify opportunities for risk-based testing and while maintaining quality levels.


    • Collaborating and providing technical mentorship to other team members.
