    Ameriprise Financial seeks a Microsoft Exchange engineer to join our Minneapolis, MN based IT team and support our global enterprise email infrastructure.

    You will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, our Microsoft Exchange servers, and related technologies.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide solutions to resolve issues and incidents while remaining focused on security, up-time, and performance.

    Provide troubleshooting and resolution to complex problems and issues.


    Provides global support of our messaging platforms including Microsoft Exchange 2016; Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, email gateways, and Outlook client applications in support of our 32,000 users.

    Participate in rotational 24x7 On-Call support for critical outages and issues.


    Perform moderately difficult and independent assignments in the troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, problem resolution and ongoing production support for one or more technologies within the technical area of expertise.

    Collaborate with vendor and contractor partners to develop and implement detailed design, configuration, and engineering strategies.

    Comply with all corporate regulations and policies including hybrid (3-days in-office) work schedule.


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

    5 to 7 years of experience as a Microsoft Exchange engineer or administrator

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Exchange Server 2019, 2016, and or 2013


    Ability to proactively monitor the stability and performance of the messaging infrastructures and take appropriate corrective actions prior to an incident or problem occurring.

    Experience with Active Directory, DNS, SMTP, and other email protocols and standards.

    Proficient in PowerShell scripting and process automation

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience working in a highly regulated environment.

    Conceptual understanding of DMARC, DKIM, and SPF

    Experience creating solutions using Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK and or the Exchange Online management module.

    Experience with additional technologies including .NET Framework, JSON, REST, Outlook Add-in, transport agents.

    Experience with email security solutions such as anti-spam, anti-virus, encryption, and archiving.

    Certification in Microsoft Exchange or related technologies

    Experience with Service Now or similar ITIL platform.
