    Job Title: Childcare Caregiver at Killington and Pico Resort

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Competitive Compensation: Starting rate of $18.25/hr with adjustments based on experience
    • Attractive Benefits: Full-time seasonal positions include a season pass for employees/dependents, as well as privileges at other resorts. Various discount programs available for food, beverages, retail/rental, tickets, and more.
    • Daycare Services: Available for Staff Members working in the Childcare Center, including lunch provisions where applicable.

    Job Summary:



    The Killington Childcare program offers comprehensive indoor care featuring age-appropriate toys, games, and optional outdoor activities year-round. Our State-licensed and fully equipped Childcare Center operates five days a week in summer and seven days a week in winter, including holidays, making it the most convenient option in the area. Childcare services are open to staff, Killington residents, and the general public (ages 2-12) during specific hours.


    As a Caregiver, you will oversee children aged 8 weeks to 12 years old, ensuring their health and safety under the guidance of the Childcare Manager or Supervisor. Responsibilities include feeding, changing diapers, assisting with various needs, and complying with Vermont Childcare Regulations. Training will be provided, and completion is expected within a week of hire.



    Summary of Key Responsibilities:

    • Support children's daily routines such as feeding, dressing, playing, and learning
    • Ensure the well-being of all children in your care
    • Maintain records of children's activities and communicate with parents
    • Adhere to state regulations governing the daycare operations
    • Assist in preparing young children for outdoor activities
    • Display a positive attitude and patience with children

    Job Requirements:


    • Basic Qualifications:
      • Criminal background check required
      • Minimum age of 18
    • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Previous teaching/childcare experience preferred
      • Passion for working with young children
      • Effective communication skills
