- Able to obtain a Government facility security pass (DBIDS)
- Must pass drug test and E-Verify.
- Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification Basic reading, writing and math skills required·
- Personal Protective Equipment:
- Must have a superior understanding of electrical safety and good work practices.
- Must meet or exceed all Journeyperson Trade 3 requirements.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
- Must have excellent personal skills working with others.
- Must be able to oversee a small group of people as a team.
- Must be able to conduct advanced training to J1-J3 Trade personnel in the execution of work.
- Must be proficient in the applicable NAVSEA Standard Items, OSHA standards, NSTM's, and regulatory body regulations.
- Must be able to draft and submit required reports as required.
- Must be able to draft and submit Condition Found Reports.
- Must be proficient at reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Must be proficient at planning, laying out and installing Temporary Service equipment and cabling IAW NSI.
- Must be proficient at the use of VOMs, Meggers, Amp and Phase rotation meters, etc. in-way of troubleshooting, testing and circuit analysis.
- Must be proficient at building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical problems to component level on Temporary Service Electrical equipment.
- Must be proficient in setting up Temporary Electrical Service Generators and Power Mods IAW all NASSCO and Government requirements.
- Must be proficient in adhering to the requirements of NAVSEA Standard Items 009-08, and on installation and maintaining of Temporary Services on board ship and on piers.
