- Apply stockroom concepts with guidance from senior material handlers.
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine stockroom issues and assigned tasks.
- Contribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support.
- Utilize stockroom principals, techniques, and company standards.
- Receive all consignments including program and non-program deliveries.
- Convey material from receiving dock to incoming inspection and to appropriate stock location.
- Convey non-production material to courier for internal deliveries.
- Pick, crate and configure materials for shipments.
- Perform all necessary transactions within ERP to receive and stock production material.
- Kit production and/or prototype material for release to production.
- Perform cycle count activities.
- Set-up and perform movement of material between the company's storage locations.
- Effectively use appropriate tools and computer skill.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred
- Experience may include comprehensive knowledge of tools, software and other technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as high-performance team
- Proven ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates reliability and dependability in support of team goals
- Must be self-mobile and able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, bending, stooping, walking, climbing, reaching during a normal workday, to perform repetitive motions and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift, after completing Saab certification
- Ability to work extended hours when required
