    Description
    This position is responsible for retrieving, moving, and stacking merchandise. Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages product using material handling equipment which may include use of forklifts. Documents and maintains inventory and ensures production area organization and cleanliness. Maintains equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Uses a computer in daily activities.

    Responsible for the efficient transportation and delivery of product to customers in a manner and condition that meets customer and company requirements.

    Duties will include the delivery of material to warehouse locations and client locations. Must maintain high safety standards and comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Also responsible for timely reporting.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Uses a computer based WMS to enter data and to check on product status and enter shipment information

    Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations

    Efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate areas

    Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking assistance as needed

    Creates bill of ladings and manifests for different carriers

    Prepares and stages skids for outbound shipments subsequently to be shipped by Fidelitone or selected carrier

    Unload deliveries and reload material returns

    May be required to unload boxes from pallets onto carts

    Efficiently moves product from staging and/or storage areas into outbound trucks and trailers

    Preserves safe and clean work environment by following FIDELITONE Standardized 5S Program


    May be required to drive company vehicle/truck to make customer deliveries and/or pick-ups, obeying all traffic laws and safety procedures.

    If required must perform appropriate vehicle inspections and maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record

    Properly secures loads and ensures loads are within weight limits

    Verifies counts and conditions of goods loaded and unloaded. Makes reports of overages, shortages, and breakage/damage as needed

    Assures that all equipment/product is safely loaded and securely transported

    Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner

    Reports into the dispatch office when completing a scheduled delivery and/or when delayed

    Completes daily equipment (truck) maintenance logs, delivery, and driver logs

    Verifies all customer documentation is complete and that all activity is reported accurately on the installation/driver's form, and returns all paperwork to the office on a daily basis

    Operates the truck in a safe manner. Reports any vehicle problems and defects. Must comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and other standards and regulations.

    Maintains a good driving record

    Assures that the truck is unloaded, clean (inside and out), well kept, and maintained

    Abides and follows company safety policy and conducts all activities safely

    Assists with any other tasks in the warehouse or deliveries as necessary

    Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    Certified forklift driver (stand up/sit down) or willing to learn, as needed

    Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within warehouse industry. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

    Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English

    Basic knowledge of computer systems required. Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word knowledge preferred

    Ability to perform functions with minimal direction with emphasis on safety

    Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with great attention to detail

    Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

    Ability to adapt to change in the workplace and shift priorities easily

    A current/unexpired valid driver's license is required based on state requirement

    Heavy Lifting required (75 lbs assisted)

    Must be able to navigate in various weather conditions

    Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime with little notice

    Must successful complete a criminal background investigation and drug screen

    Must maintain a clean MVR, criminal record and remain drug free

    Required Experience

    A minimum one year of driving experience

    High school diploma or its equivalent

    1 year of related experience in a straight shift, box truck preferred

    Warehouse Management Systems experience helpful
