    Description


    American Traveler is hiring a CVI (Cardiac Cath / IR) Technologist with 2+ years of experience, trained across Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, Neurology, and Electrophysiology for a 13-week day shift contract in Rockford, IL.

    Details

    Cardiovascular Intervention (CVI) unit covering Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology specialties
    Day shift with an on-call rotation including one night per week, one weekend per month, and holiday coverage
    32–40 hours per week
    Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab / CVI procedures
    Graduate of an accredited radiology program
    ARRT(R) and ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) required
    IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required — license required if applicable
    Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
    NIHSS certification required
    Proficiency in scrubbing, sterile and aseptic technique, vascular access procedures, and physiologic monitoring
    Experience with contrast injector operation, pressure transducer calibration, and digital image acquisition including 3D reconstruction
    Ability to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures across multiple subspecialties
    Additional Information

    Responsibilities span patient identification verification, pre-procedural time-out participation, sterile field preparation, and post-procedural care including application of vascular closure devices
    Administer or assist in administering injectable medications per physician orders, including analgesics, anticoagulants, thrombolytics, vasoactives, and emergency medications
    Monitor and record vital signs, distal pulses, procedural data, fluoroscopy time, and radiation dose throughout procedures
    Advocate for and apply radiation safety protocols, including use of a personnel radiation dosimeter and evaluation of dose reports
    Assist with ultrasound-guided vascular and organ access as needed
    May provide practical instruction to students and clinical partners
