4x12 Hour Day Shift (07:00 - 19:00); Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse for a dynamic and fast-paced high-volume unit. This position requires expertise in managing patients with various conditions, including congestive heart failure (CHF), acute myocardial infarctions (MI), and arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting with an expected patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Administer medications, including blood products and manage dysrhythmias.
• Utilize EPIC charting system to document patient care accurately.
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams as necessary.
• Perform wound care and management of peripheral lines.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty.
• Current New York State Nursing License (must be in hand to submit).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Ability to float within the department as needed.
