    Job Description

    Saint Luke's South in Overland Park is looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Respiratory Therapy team. In this role, you will support adult ICU, Medical Surgical, ED, Surgery, OB, and the Code Blue Team. You will perform all aspects of the respiratory therapist and cardiopulmonary practice. Our Respiratory Therapy team is known for their pride in work and a culture of kindness. This position supports system, facility, and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education, and professional development.

    Shift Details: 3-12 hour shifts; 6:00pm - 6:30am

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs diagnostic and metabolic testing
    • Patient assessment treatment planning
    • Performs therapeutic interventions analysis and reports on clinical response
    • Works in collaboration with medical staff and other members of the healthcare team
    • Provides patient and family education and discharge planning

      • To be successful in this role, you need to work effectively with nursing, physicians, and team members. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Looking for someone passionate about patient care, teamwork, continuous learning, and growth in the field.

        Applicable Experience: 2 years in respiratory therapyAssociate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
