    Role - Lead Engineer - Consumer Electronics

    Salary - $150,000 - $175,000 (dependent on experience)

    Type - Permanent

    Location - Rochester, MI

    My client works within the Electronic Consumer Product space and they are looking to take on a Lead Engineer to oversee the development of one of their product lines in the Rochester, MI area.

    Strong experience in the development of smart connected products is desired.


    Those with experience in the full lifecycle design and validation for consumer products or household appliances will be a good fit.


    The client is particularly interested in hiring individuals with a passion for innovating and constantly driving improvement within complex product ranges.

    The Lead Engineer will have the following attributes:


    BS (or similar) in Product Design, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.10+ years' experience in the Design and Manufacture of sensor-driven products.

    Proficiency in the design of Schematics using Altium.
    BLE / Bluetooth network experience.
    IoT, Embedded and Hardware Engineering background.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Knowledge of circuit modeling using LTSpice or PSpice.
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    The Lead Engineer's role will involve:

    Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering team alongside other Electrical, Mechanical & Electronics Engineers.
    Leading design and project delivery for all aspects of of product development.

    Customer requirements managementStandards analyses for systems safety and reliabilityProduce technical design specificationsCreate verification test plansOversee verification & validation testingSupporting testing and certification of designs to relevant safety standards.

    Participating in full lifecycle Design and Project work – working closely with customers and other teams.
    Preparing and delivering technical reports.
