    Description

    Tesoro Group is looking for a Roving Assistant Property Manager for one of our long-term clients to assist with their Minneapolis-St. Paul Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience in property management (leasing/assistant property manager roles), strong organizational skills, customer service skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required as this position will be roving to different properties. This role is contract days) or can go contract to hire with the right candidate.

    This role will be working with (7) properties in the portfolio between (4) Minneapolis, (2) St. Paul and (1) property in Shoreview – weekly schedules will be provided for which sites you will be traveling to-schedule will be based off site needs).

    Salary: $19-$20/hour – This role is contract days) or can go contract to hire with the right candidate.

    Schedule: Monday – Friday standard business hours (8-4 or 9-5) – some weekend availability required during peak seasons and projects.

    This role will be helping out each site to get caught up on administrative tasks such as leasing, compliance, file auditing/clerical, organizing, leasing and other duties as requested by the Property Manager and Regional Property Managers.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assistant Property Management:

  • Makes appointments, shows apartments, screens applicants, and verifies applications for completion.
  • Shops comparable projects in the marketplace monthly.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a focus on tenant retention.
  • Meets all designated deadlines.
  • Manages property in accordance with budget limitations.
  • Keeps Property Manager informed at all times in the areas of: property conditions, tenant complaints, suggestions for improvement of property performance.
  • Informs management of common areas in need of cleaning and repair.
  • Works on the last day and first day of each month until responsibilities completed; some overtime may be required.Compliance/Office Administration:
  • Prepares all resident files to include all preparatory paperwork.
  • Prepares all move-out material for Property Manager.
  • Prepares completed move-in packets and maintains a supply of all pertinent materials.
  • Ensures compliance with state, federal and local housing laws.
  • Complies with all company, agency, and city compliance requirements.
  • Stays abreast of any changes in fair housing and affordable housing compliance requirements.
  • Assists with subsidy administration in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.Leasing:
  • Implements comprehensive marketing strategy to meet predetermined vacancy standards.
  • Leases apartments; implements and maintains effective advertising and marketing plan.
  • Shows apartments.
  • Plans and coordinates model apartments.Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 1 years' experience in property management (leasing/assistant property manager roles)
