    ATG is looking for an senior software developer with finance and statistics background to work on cutting-edge systems in Blackstone Credit's Systematic Investment Strategies group. The position would be on-site at the Blackstone offices in San Francisco, working alongside the business.

    The position is through ATG Financial Technologies. ATG provides full-time on-site developers and other technology consultants for Blackstone. ATG has provided consultants to Blackstone for 25 years to help them build their industry-leading technology systems.

    We are looking for a candidate to design, develop, and deploy software solutions and provide system maintenance and daily support for Blackstone Credit's Systematic Investment Strategies team.

    Responsibilities

    • Play a critical role in modernizing the technical stack of Blackstone Credit's Systematic Investment Strategies
    • Gather user and technical requirements, defining system functionality and develop high quality scalable solutions various technologies including Java, Python and SQL
    • You will devise solutions to important business and technical problems and put your own best ideas to work in an entrepreneurial environment
    • Engage and learn about complex business rules related to fixed income and derivative products
    • Collaborate with the development of new features, enhancements and fix existing system bugs
    • Interact constant and dynamically with business groups to clarify requirements
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex methodologies and results to the technical team
    • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems

    Skills Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience as software engineer, software developer or similar function
    • Is familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment
    • Experience working in Python, Java, C#, and SQL
    • Expertise in the web related development (Javascript, CSS, Web applications, standalone services)
    • Experience working with version control tools such as GIT
    • Experience with MS SQL Server
    • Ability to understand and troubleshoot existing code and maintain existing systems
    • Ability to identity performance bottlenecks
    • Finance domain knowledge and/or fixed income data experience is a plus
    • Located in San Francisco
