We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Platform Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing our data platform to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable data solutions, and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our data infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop, and maintain our data platform infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines, to support the organization's data needs.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Implement best practices for data modeling, data integration, data quality, and data governance to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data.
Optimize data platform performance and scalability through performance tuning, query optimization, and infrastructure enhancements.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance our data platform capabilities and drive innovation.
Implement and enforce security measures and data privacy policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data platform issues and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure data availability.
Document data platform architecture, configurations, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and support ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or similar role, with a strong background in designing and building data platforms and infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, as well as SQL and scripting languages.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with services like Azure Data Late, S3, Dremio and Databricks.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar frameworks.
Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize data platform performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
