Job summary
The Senior Virtualization Engineer leads and works alongside of the Virtualization Engineer(s) and Network Engineer(s). They research, explore and test new virtualization features and functionality offered by VMware. Collaborate with team members to develop and test implementations of these features and functions. Assist escalating critical issues as needed.- Develop scripts & queries to validate functionality and security of all systems and performance metrics.
- Develop automated procedures to deploy virtualization infrastructure with minimal intervention and time to deploy.
- Provide performance monitoring, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and the resolution of system issues.
