This position is responsible for the organization's external community relations. In this role, the Director of Community Relations has three primary areas of focus that encourage the community to invest in learn more about and engage with United Way across a three-county territory Linn Benton & Lincoln Counties in Oregon Marketing and Public Relations Donor Engagement Resource Development & Fundraising Major Responsibilities Marketing and Public Relations Develop messaging communications to clearly convey the United Way story impact work Oversee creation production all donor communications annual endowment campaign materials solicitation acknowledgement letters mass communications e-communications Produce marketing communication collateral highlight objectives successes connection community goals Develops processes systems ensure information accurate agreed upon involved parties Obtain write format success stories donors recipients volunteers agencies Create messaging campaign volunteers train speakers key message points Collaborate departments produce post compelling content organizations website ensure site makes easy visitors give advocate volunteer support UW's community impact goals Work cross-functionally execute effective targeted communications plans aligned prioritized donor segments organizational strategies Serve primary writer donor messaging Increase UW social media presence regular use Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Acts customer mind create marketing strategies designed grow financial resources Donor Engagement Lead efforts achieve measurable goals expand deepen membership engagement Develop test promote periodically refresh value-added membership portfolio Collaborate resource development staff acquiring new members workplace campaign Resource Development & Fundraising Plays active role cultivating donor event program sponsorships Maintains limited portfolio campaign accounts executes development design implementation evaluation said campaigns incorporating corporate social responsibility match making practices volunteer efforts year-round relationships Adds two new workplace campaigns fiscal year Manages Direct Mail Solicitation Campaign Manages relationships donors promote best practices Manages activities associated creation coordination implementation new existing fundraising activities coordinates acquiring event sponsorships manages special events works event sponsors ensure needs met both sponsor event Generates net revenues from events each fiscal year Participates product development process match current donors corporations specific interests throughout United Way mission Cultivates new business grows undervalued accounts strategic outreach analyzing fundraising potential existing prospective community partners Experience Bachelor degree equivalent combination education experience Minimum two years' experience successful marketing corporate communications fundraising sales donor customer engagement experience From prior work experience demonstrate ability work successfully dynamic team environment Also demonstrate ability provide excellent customer relations Demonstrate ability create positive productive relationships volunteers illustrate examples detail-oriented project management Skills Abilities Excellent communications skills i.e written verbal Computer literacy Microsoft Office Suite specifically Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint Ability use Adobe Creative Cloud experience Website Design Organize prioritize meet deadlines Management department budget
