Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this full-time position will be to perform the duties of an Environmental Health Specialist Trainee in the area of community sanitation under the supervision of the Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor.
The selected applicant must be able to work and travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists under the licensing requirements for Environmental Health Specialists.
Experience: None.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess:
- Experience with critical thinking
- Experience communicating effectively
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
At the time of hire, candidates for positions in this classification must possess a certificate of eligibility to be licensed as an Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
