    POSITION PURPOSE:


    The Director, Human Resources provides strategic leadership and direction as well as hands on functional support in all areas of Human Resources, Training and Recruiting.

    Partner with functional leaders to define strategy, structure, roles, responsibilities, and business processes that will enhance organizational growth capability. Ensures all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Direct the strategy, development, implementation and administration of the HR functions in support of the overall business plans
    • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, bringing a business perspective as well as the perspective of the impact on talent
    • Collaborate with Sr. Leadership to influence and shape culture, business plans, vision, priorities, and human capital strategies
    • Lead a team of Human Resources professionals who will support HR aspects for assigned business
    • Serve as consultant to all Leaders of People in order to advise on all areas of Human Resources
    • Practice continuous improvement, ever assessing talent and organizational design, effectiveness and implement tactics to produce desired results
    • Coach and manage performance of direct reports to develop and enhance their individual and team effectiveness
    • Actively manage internal team member relations concerns, sexual harassment, workplace harassment and EEOC; consult with legal counsel regarding potential liability
    • Continuously seek to attract and actively develop talent to meet future growth and business needs of the company
    • Review Human Resources policies for revision as often as needed based on legal or regulatory conditions impacting Human Resources policies
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to influence in both formal and informal settings
    • Ability to work through projects and drive out efficiencies
    • Ability to work with leaders / team members at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Experience in conflict resolution
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required

    Previous Experience/Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred
    • PHR or SPHR certifications preferred
    • 10+ years Human Resources leadership experience preferred
    • Prior experience as a functional HR Manager with strong employee relations background
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to contribute to business planning and execution at an executive level

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Working conditions are normal for an office environment
    • Frequent use of hands to manipulate the keyboard, telephone, files and other equipment
    • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
