    The innovative team at MissionCare at Holyoke is seeking Supervisors for 12 hour weekend shifts and overnights

    Summary:

    The primary responsibility of the RN Supervisor is to provide supervision and coordination of patient care in all units as assigned for licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel in the Nursing Department in order to provide continuity and quality resident care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains overall responsibility for resident assessments and for the recognition and reporting of resident change of condition to the attending physician.
    • Assists in the management of all levels of nursing staff to ensure accountability to all standards of nursing practice, quality care and treatments
    • Makes house rounds regularly throughout the shift and consults with Charge Nurses concerning new admissions and acutely ill residents; assists Charge Nurses with coordination of CNA assignments as needed to ensure efficient quality care
    • Available to respond to clinical emergencies, regulatory agency visits, surveys and issues as needed
    • Participates in on-call rotation for clinical emergencies and other clinical/facility issues
    • Assists the DNS, ADNS and SD in on-going training of nursing staff to support clinical services and to meet and exceed established clinical competency levels; monitors and assists in the training of specialty unit personnel to maintain active competencies and/or certifications required for the specific unit

    Qualifications:

    • A current, unencumbered MA RN license is preferred. LPN considered.
    • Minimum of 2 years of increased responsibility as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor in long term care and/or in a rehabilitation facility
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment
    • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required
    • A working knowledge of EMR systems
    • IV Certification required
