    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:


    As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you will be the face of the Urgent Care facility, welcoming and assisting patients and visitors with a warm and caring attitude.

    You will play a key role in verifying patient information and guiding them through the registration process.



    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    - Create a welcoming environment and act as a patient advocate.
    - Register patients, verify insurance, and ensure accurate billing.
    - Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
    - Handle administrative tasks and assist other departments as needed.
    - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold quality standards.
    - Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.
    - Ensure cleanliness and organization in the office and clinical environment.
    - Perform other duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    - Minimum High School diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
    - 1 year of customer service experience required.
    - 1 to 3 years' experience in a medical office preferred.
    - Familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    - Excellent communication skills and ability to provide emotional support.
    - Proficiency in using general office equipment and software.
    - Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
    - Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
    - Team player with a customer-centric approach.
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding setting.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    - Job performed in a well-equipped office space.
    - Occasional local travel may be required.
    - Moderate physical exertion with occasional lifting and standing.
    - Prolonged sitting and computer use.
    - Ability to handle associated health risks related to patient care.
