    Position Summary:


    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems devices and firmware development, coupled with excellent leadership and coordination skills.

    As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating firmware development-related activities to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality firmware products.


    Projects may be at various stages when the candidate joins, so this position will be dynamic and changing according to project needs.

    As an Embedded Systems Engineer, technical aptitude in software principals is solid, as are technical leadership capabilities.

    The level of effort to manage the engineer is minimal, as the engineer is capable of understanding the big picture and managing deliverables autonomously.


    Essential Position Duties:

    • Lead and coordinate firmware development efforts, providing technical guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project execution.
    • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers, to align firmware development activities with overall project objectives.
    • Define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and track progress to ensure adherence to schedules.
    • Conduct testing and verification of firmware functionalities, working closely with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve any bugs or issues.
    • Oversee the maintenance and operation of automated test rigs used for firmware testing and validation.

    Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the test rigs, ensuring their availability and reliability for firmware testing.-Troubleshoot firmware related production issues and field issues- Develop and maintain documentation, including firmware specifications, design documents, test plans, and user manuals.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to firmware development and product certifications.


    Education Experience:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    Must Have 5+ years experience contributing to embedded systems projects.


    Specific Position Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of firmware development methodologies, standards, and best practices.
    • Experience in project management, including planning, tracking, and risk assessment.
    • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C/C++/Python) and familiarity with hardwaresoftware interactions.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
    • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Handson professional, who feels comfortable in field environment, where tests and validations are performed.
