    Job Description
    Insight Global is looking for a Process Controls Engineer for an Oil and Gas client located in Freeport, Tx.

    This person will be joining a team of 4 team members within the Process Controls group including another Process Controls Engineer, a Project Engineer, and 3 other Process Engineers.

    This role will report to the Plants Engineering Manager and daily will be evaluating and resolving technical issues with the pumps the plant is manufacturing.

    The Freeport plant is a Chemical Manufacturing plant so this person will need to have prior experience within a Chemical Manufacturing plant environment as they will be dealing with batch issues as well.

    This role is heavily involved in troubleshooting and the plant is currently in the process of transitioning from DCS into DeltaV.

    In addition this role will be working on multiple projects throughout the year outside of the DeltaV upgrade, these projects will have this person working closely with the plants Operations team and the projects will vary in size.

    This role does involve being on call with a rotating schedule and will also be onsite M-F at the plant.

    Skills and Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
    3+ years of experience in configuration of DCS in chemical manufacturing is required
    Experience in batch programing
    Demonstrated skill in electronic hardware and software troubleshooting.
    Must be able to troubleshoot and correct any issues with PLCs and PI systems
    Experience with loop checks, interlocks, controller tuning, alarm validation 5+ years of Process Controls Engineering experience
    Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of DeltaV
    Experience in Modicon PLC and Allen Bradly VFD
    Experience with DCS migration and startup
    Experience with a sequential function chart null
