    High Desert Medical Group is seeking a full time Auditor for our HCC Department.

    This department strives to be the leading innovator in risk adjustment, quality reporting, and financial sustainability through teamwork, integrity, and education.

    The HCC Auditor is r esponsible for auditing all risk-adjusted members medical records to ensure quality and accuracy of documentation and reimbursement.

    Provide frequent feedback to providers and clinic staff regarding documentation and completion of quality measures. Maintain a professional, positive and caring attitude at all times. Review and update encounter data for services rendered as relating to Risk Adjustment and Quality Measures.


    Summary of Duties:
    Ensure that all Senior Wellness exams are scheduled to capacity.
    Initiate and answer telephone calls utilizing proper phone etiquette.
    Advise supervisor of any problems that arise affecting departmental goals.
    Work in unity with other in group.
    Take accurate messages and relay to appropriate person as quickly as possible.
    Promptly removes cancellations from EPM.Create chart in EPY for all first-time patients.
    Place calls to confirm appointments as needed.
    Answer patient's non-clinical questions.
    Demonstrate care, concern, and courtesy when interacting with all internal and external customers.
    Display a warm and pleasant personality emphasizing tact, empathy, and patience.

    Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to:
    requesting medical records, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
    Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system for Risk Adjustment Data Validation Audits.
    Complete and distribute meeting minutes for departmental meetings after supervisor approval.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $42,848.00-$57,158.40 /year, non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

    Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

    If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    RequirementsValid California Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation required.
    High school graduate or equivalent.
    Coding training education completed.
    Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or CMA preferred.
    One year of previous outpatient coding experience preferred.
    Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
    Medical Assisting, EMT, Medical coding training or experience preferredPC knowledge of MS Office and Internet applications.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to handle and prioritize tasks in order to meet all given deadlines and productivity goals.
    Ability to responsibly handle matters of a confidential nature, HIPAA compliant.
