Precision Industrial Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a FT Fabrication Shop Welder for immediate hire.

POSITION SUMMARY:

PIC Fabrication Shop has immediate openings for experienced Tig Welder to join our team. We're looking for a hardworking individual who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in GTAW processes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

Must be certified or able to pass GTAW weld test to AWS D1.1 standards.
Minimum of 3-6 years on the job experience in a structural shop as a Welder.
Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Knowledgeable in crane operations and rigging of structural steel and operation.
Familiar with craftsmanship criteria set forth in AWS D1.1.

Knowledge and Proficiency in Additional welding processes such as FCAW, and GMAW is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, and determines sequence of operations.
Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of, effects of heat, and allowances for weld shrinkage, machining, and thickness of metal.
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly/tacking and or welding using prescribed fixtures and proper work procedures.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as TIG welding machines, Grinders ETC.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 50lbs
Moves parts into position manually or by hoist or crane.
Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position such as: standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, etc.
