As the Test Engineer I, you will assist with coordination and execution of standardized laboratory testing to aid in the development of a high-quality process that meets Customer needs.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical support for organizing, executing, and coordinating Customer jobs.
Analyze test results and provide engineering reports that meet Customer specifications.
Learn to read test specifications for inertia dynamometer, vehicle, and component bench testing projects.
Learn to fit and function set of parts on fixture.
Learn to analyze rotor mapping plot data points.
Monitor tests in progress to ensure they are running to specification.
Understanding of project management fundamentals including work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports.
Understanding of gains, full scales, and frequencies.
Use a Windows based computer system to access relevant test procedures and quality system documents, enter measurement data, store, and retrieve files from the network, etc.
Work with the laboratory staff to ensure quality testing.Communicate project needs on time to ensure Customer satisfaction.
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
All other related duties as assigned.
Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Associate's Degree with 2 years relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory; equivalent related work experience also acceptable in lieu of education.
High School Diploma.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proven knowledge of engineering testing, including methods, equipment, reporting and analysis.
Ability to work well in a Team environment.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong independent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk.
Ability to speak verbally and read in English.
Ability to see with corrective lenses.
Ability to hear.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
Ability to use a computer.
Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
