    Lanco, a worldwide leader in industrial equipment manufacturing, is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team in this newly created position.In this role, you will be responsible for the compliance and policy functions impacting areas such as employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, employment practices, record retention, and compliance with laws and regulations in the US and globally. The incumbent will monitor and document gaps in various HR compliance areas, advise leadership on risks, and be the liaison with governmental agencies.

    Following an introduction period, this role can become a hybrid role located primarily on-site at our Hazel Crest, IL location.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Stay abreast of global compliance changes, assess risk, and manage change through full cycle documentation for compliance issues in the areas of Human Resources functions
    • Keep current with labor and employment trends, legal decisions and regulatory changes, and provide information and analysis to HR leadership.
    • Manage document retention compliance and workflows.
    • Identify HR policies that need to be developed and/or updated due to regulatory changes.
    • Facilitate any change in procedures and/or systems in support of federal, state, and management requirements.
    • Develop and provide employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
    • Identify, investigate, and report on compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.
    • Recommend solutions for gaps or deficiencies in compliance areas.
    • Maintain meticulous records of compliance items and directional decisions.
    • Coordinate the human resources department compliance updates and changes with the MGR Project and MGR Process to enact company decision related to compliance updates with appropriate stakeholders.
    • Track and respond to complaints.
    • Communicate with government agencies as necessary.
    • Prepare and file compliance reporting.
    • Implement and assist with HR compliance Initiatives.
    • Work with Change Management and Project Management as needed.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in the successful management of the compliance field
    • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards in the Human Resources function.
    • HR Certification or Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) preferred.
    • Experience with Project Coordination and explaining complex, technical concepts in plain language
