- Managing cash disbursements
- Entering new property purchases into property management system

- Handling complex accounting systems and processes
- Developing and overseeing strategies and financing methods for resolving capital needs of properties i.e. managing the real estate schedule and asset overview process.
- Providing pre-acquisition input and assistance in due diligence process, including review of financial and operational assumptions, and supporting the effort of originating and negotiating debt financing
- Positioning each asset for optimal financial performance through such activities as budgeting, monitoring financial performance and refinancing debt.
- Managing coordination of post-acquisition activities and integration of asset into the ownership portfolio
- Ensuring that accounting processes related to rent collections and documentation of related work is impeccable - Managing the team will be key here.
- Set regularly occurring meetings with the staff accountant, virtual assistants, and property managers to assure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

We are looking for a driven professional who has experience in providing vision and the development of strategic solutions to support the financial success of an organization; someone who can provide strategic financial insight to the Owner; is an expert at planning, implementing, managing, and owning all financial and accounting related activities of the organization. The ideal candidate will also have the experience, education, and attitude to take on complex, multiple-entity accounting.

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5+ years' experience as a Controller
Advanced in accounting software
Advanced MS Office Suite
Experience with Rent Manager 12 is a plus
Excellent leadership skills
Experience in accounting positions supporting Real Estate and Storage related businesses
