Founded in 2013, Nova Labs is a pioneer in decentralized wireless communications and the founding team behind the open-source Helium Network. Helium Mobile, a Nova Labs business, has a mission to place access to connectivity in the hands of the people and enable a service at a reduced cost while maintaining high-quality service.

Duration: Up to 4-6 months

Location: US - Remote

Work Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis for up to 4-6 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of our accounting process, with a primary focus on accounts payable, billing, and transaction management. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and has a strong background in accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Handle billing operations using Stripe or similar platforms.
Utilize Excel for accounting purposes, including data entry, analysis, and reporting.
Oversee and execute financial transactions and record-keeping with precision.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Provide support in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in billing and transactions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel specifically tailored for accounting tasks.
Experience with Stripe billing systems or similar platforms.
Experience with
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
