    Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabricator Operator - 1st Shift.


    Shift Hours:
    7:00am -3:30pm Monday - FridayThe hourly rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

    What you'll do:


    This Fabricator Operator will perform fabrication work such as drill, tap, sand, rivet, grind, spot weld, shear, apply powder paint, solder, operate punch presses, iron worker, stabwelder, load/unload paintline, and assist in upkeep/maintenance of equipment.

    This person will assist higher level operators in their work as directed.


    In this function you will:

    • Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, and written or oral instructions.
    • Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
    • Provide assistance to higher-level sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties
    • Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on coil cradle / feeder. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion.
    • Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components.
    • Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation / record-keeping may be required.
    • Operate spotwelders, punch presses and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed. Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Apply powder paint and shear various types of material to proper size. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems.
    • Maintenance of equipment such as dressing of welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary.
    Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problemsQualifications:


    • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
    • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of this location, or be Active Duty Military.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1 year manufacturing experiencePosition Criteria:

    • Sufficient proficiency with precision-measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers. Hand tools will be utilized such as screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, drills, grinders, portable bandsaws, files, power hand tools, drill presses, and air-driven hand tools
    • Demonstrated proficiency with drawings or blueprints.
