- Develops, organizes and instructs a variety of activities and programs such as transportation, craft classes, health promotions, dances, banquets, and meetings for members of a senior citizen center.
- Provides information, advice, and assistance to senior citizens.
- Defuses and resolves disagreements and conflicts between patrons.
- Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates volunteers engaged in conducting programs and activities.
- Assists in the evaluation of local conditions and needs and the development of plans for a senior program and activities.
- Makes presentations to various groups on the goals and operations of the department.
- Plans and coordinates fund raising events.
- Drives a van or small bus to transport seniors to various functions, activities, and tours.
- Attends board and business meetings.
- Maintains and updates membership rosters, tabulates attendance and submits statistical information.
- Assists in the attainment of department goals and objectives related to Master, Strategic and Comprehensive Plans.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with City Administration, department directors, consultants, vendors, staff, and the public to provide quality services.

- Equivalent to a high school diploma plus two (2) years of experience working with aging populations and seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would likely produce the required

Job Description
