    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist to join our team in Camden, NY. As a full-time Peer Specialist/Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), you will work closely with individuals in recovery, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

    About the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for:

    • Developing Person-Centered Recovery Plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each individual
    • such as social services, support groups, and other forms of assistance
    • Taught Coping Skills to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges
    • Supporting Benefit Applications and advocating on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the support they need
    • Providing Non-Clinical Crisis Support during times of hospitalization or incarceration
    • Accompanying Individuals to Court Appearances and Medical Appointments
    • Engaging Individuals in Formal Recovery Support Services
    • Educating Individuals and Families on Various Modes of Recovery

    Requirements

    • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) Certification Required within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
    • One Year of Health or Human Service Experience Preferred
    • Valid NYS Driver's License Required

    $18.67 - $21.36 per hour
