Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Waterford, CT

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to be part of our growing team that serves nursing and healthcare facilities in Waterford, CT.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Responsibilities:

Offer direct nursing care and support the designated Registered Nurse in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care within the nursing process framework. Adhere to the Facility and Nursing Department's philosophy, purposes, policies, and standards.
Observe, record, and communicate resident conditions to facilitate assessments, care planning, interventions, and care evaluation.
Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures directly to residents. Maintain a conducive environment for resident and staff health, comfort, and safety.
Follow regulatory and facility protocols for drug handling, infection control, quality of care, resident rights, and behavioral guidelines.
Provide basic health education to residents and staff. Document observations of resident conditions, care details, and maintain necessary supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with physicians and other departments for resident care and staff relations. Address resident and family/friend concerns promptly and professionally.
Support the orientation of nursing staff and participate in the evaluation of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Engage in personal development through training, stay updated on nursing trends, and report relevant information to supervising nurses.

Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Preferred: Master's degree
Valid CT nursing license
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
Proficiency in medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and healthcare regulations
Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in challenging situations
Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
