    Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Business Development Specialist Prospecting and

    Lead Generation:
    Identify and research potential referral sources for Assisted Living or Independent Living in the designated geographic area.

    Identify and research potential geriatric physician offices as referral sources for Assisted Living or Independent Living in the designated geographic area.

    Partner with libraries, churches, senior centers, the zoo, and other local partners to identify ways to support each other's mission and success.

    Utilize networking and Outreach to generate leads.
    Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to establish connections and identify potential clients. This overlaps with the Sales Specialist so want to be clear on roles & responsibilities.
    Attend Discharge meeting weekly to identify new leads when possible.


    Client Relationship Building:
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare or senior wellbeing related industries.
    Understand the unique needs and challenges of each industry and tailor your approach to provide solutions.


    Consultative Selling:
    Present the range of services and benefits offered by Highmark Senior Living, highlighting how they address specific needs.
    Articulate the value proposition and competitive advantages of our services compared to alternatives.


    Proposal Development:
    Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and solutions for each client.
    Present proposals in a clear and persuasive manner, addressing any client concerns or objections.


    Sales Pipeline Management:

    This all crosses over with the Sales Specialist role so we need to be clear which role does whatMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.

    Track the progress of leads through the sales funnel and follow up as needed.
    Reach monthly activity goals.


    Collaboration and Reporting:
    Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to align strategies and messaging.
    Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis.


    Continued Learning:
    Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements.
    Other duties as assigned.

    RequirementsAn associate or bachelor's degree with course work in sales, marketing, business administration, social services or related area or three (3) years of experience in senior living setting working within a sales and marketing role preferred.

    Experience in CRM entries and follow up.

    Success Factors Knowledge of community outreach strategies and techniques Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences, including seniors and their families. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of senior living. Empathy, patience, and compassion for seniors and their families navigating the transition to senior living. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
