    Summary:

    The primary responsibility of the Master HVAC Technician is to perform maintenance and repair operations pertaining to medium sized to large, complex, heating and cooling systems and associated control systems. The Master HVAC Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the quality of work at acceptable company standards, and for representing the company to the customer in a manner that ensures effective communication and a positive relationship.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Maintain strict adherence to all company and customer specific safety rules, regulations, procedures, and practices

    2. Maintain consistent compliance with company and customer policies and procedures as they relate to proper time sensitive completion of required documentation such as, but not limited to, , work orders, quote information, P card receipts, various logs, customer websites, customer IVR systems, customer web based applications,, and any other customer crucial documentation requirements

    3. Fully utilize company's mobile technologies

    4. Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance at all times. This applies to the individual as well as his/her truck, tools, and equipment as well as customer property

    5. Obtain purchase orders, properly utilize P-cards and make small purchases required during the performance of work

    6. Manage, maintain, and document usage of all vehicle inventory through company purchases, internal logging and mandated "checks" (inventory includes supplied tools as well as materials purchased into the truck warehouse inventory to be used at a customer site for an emergency repair)

    7. Keep the service coordinator informed of location and status work orders and projects through constant communication and updating mobile documentation daily at beginning and end of every workorder or project

    8. Diagnosis causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components; primary area of expertise is systems requiring average technical skills on rooftop HVAC units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic and electrical control systems, and large, complex, heating and cooling systems

    9. Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks as defined in each service agreement

    maintaining strict adherence to all budget objectives; obtain clearly defined directives from the

    Service Coordinator on the specific tasks to be performed; assist the coordinator in scheduling

    inspections based on location, man-hour requirements, priorities, customer coordination, and

    material pick-ups; maintain total responsibility for timely performance of maintenance

    inspections

    10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Requirements:

    1. Possess a Master's License

    2. Possess an EPA-608 Universal certification upon their first date of employment

    3. Knowledge of current BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations

    4. Possess industry experience in the same field or 5-years' experience working as a Service

    Technician

    5. Ability to work independently without direct supervision

    6. Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner

    7. Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and remain calm when handling emergencies

    8. Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with customers

    9. Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy, make decisions based on measurable criteria and comprehend technical data

    10. Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include varying shifts, short notice assignments,

    emergencies, nights, weekends and overtime (scheduled and unscheduled), as required
