    Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting (Tenure Track)

    The Heider College of Business at Creighton University invites applications and nominations for a tenure track position beginning in fall 2024. Qualified candidates should have an earned doctorate in Accounting with a teaching emphasis in audit and/or managerial accounting. Professional designation (CPA, CMA, CISA, etc.) and relevant professional experience are expected. Candidates should have a research, teaching and service record that supports appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

    Teaching load, which is likely to include a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses, is five classes per academic year and summer research support is available for the first three years. The College seeks a balanced teacher-scholar with a commitment to excellent teaching as well as publishable scholarship. The candidate will be expected to provide academic advising for students, as well as service to the College, University, and community.

    The Department of Accounting is separately accredited by the AACSB and has been ranked in the top 25 undergraduate accounting programs by U.S. News and World Report. The Department has five tenure-track positions, with two endowed chairs, and four full-time instructors. The Department has a traditional as well as an accelerated Master of Accounting degree program. Student placement has averaged 99% over the most recent five-year period. Students taking the CPA examination have scored at the top of the state in first-time success rates and in the top 25 in comparable programs on a national basis.
