    About the Position

    The YWCA West Central Michigan is seeking a Vice President of Crisis Services & Community Programs to join our team. The salary range is $80,000-$90,000 dependent on experience. This role is designed to oversee our crisis and non-crisis programs serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and related issues. This role provides strategic direction, ensures compliance with regulatory and funding requirements, manages budgets and grants, and leads a dedicated team of program directors and staff. The ideal candidate brings strong administrative and leadership skills, deep commitment to the YWCA mission, and expertise in program development, evaluation, and community collaboration.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Plan, develop, and oversee all crisis and non-crisis programs in alignment with the mission, vision, and philosophy of the YWCA.
    • Develop and maintain service operation policies and procedures consistent with YWCA West Central Michigan standards and all applicable regulatory, accrediting, and funding bodies (e.g., COA, DVPTB, licensing agencies).
    • Design and implement state-of-the-art service delivery systems.
    • Lead and facilitate staff meetings, collaborating with program teams to foster engagement in program strategy development and implementation.
    • Provide strategic leadership for all YWCA programs, including annual objectives, alignment with the Strategic Plan, and long-term vision.
    • In collaboration with the VP of Development and Strategy, create, monitor, and manage crisis and non-crisis program budgets; review monthly financial statements and management reports to ensure fiscal integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including timely data submission, reporting, and tracking to funding sources.
    • Oversee the development of annual business plans for programs.
    • Recruit, select, hire, and, when necessary, terminate employees in collaboration with directors across YWCA programming.
    • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff, including performance evaluations, skill building, and professional development.
    • Coordinate program evaluation, outcome measurement, benchmarking, and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with DVPTB, COA, UW, OVW, and other standards.
    • Monitor and assess program quality control plans and practices.
    • Serve as a member of the YWCA Leadership Team, contributing to program planning, policy development, and staff development initiatives.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure broad community support and collaboration.
    • Represent the YWCA's crisis and non-crisis programs to the community, media, and relevant committees as a spokesperson and liaison.
    • Hold ultimate responsibility for the performance and outcomes of all crisis and non-crisis programs and staff.
    • Provides high-level on-call support in coordination with program directors and managers; available for consultation in crisis or emergency situations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university (minimum requirement).
    • Current certification or licensure in the State of Michigan or eligibility to obtain.
    • Five to seven years' experience in service administration, including program development, grant management, personnel supervision, and budget administration.
    • Extensive knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse and other related issues including program and service provider models.
    • Demonstrated leadership success and commitment to the mission of the YWCA West Central Michigan
    • Working knowledge of multi-disciplinary approaches to identification, intervention, and treatment of interpersonal violence.
    • Excellent written, oral, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership communication skills.
    • Proficiency in computer systems, applications, and office equipment; skilled in both electronic and paper record keeping and data management.
    • Experience and knowledge of program evaluation and outcome objectives.
    • Ability to review case materials, grant requirements, official documents, and statistical reports with sustained concentration.
    • Working knowledge of budget administration and basic accounting principles.
    • Must be able to be a qualified driver at the YWCA West Central Michigan.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Typical office conditions exist. Working environment considered unpredictable based upon program or specific tasks.
    • Conditions are subject to occasional exposure to agitated or threatening individuals.
    • Irregular work hours may exist, including early morning, evening, weekends, holidays and on an on-call basis for emergency situations.
    • Must have reliable transportation to commute throughout the region for occasional meetings and conferences.

    Job Type: Full-time
