    Job Summary

    The Assistant General Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities to optimize equipment, facilities, and personnel use. Consults with airport management. Manages and motivates operational personnel. Collaborates with upper management to formulate administrative and operational policies and procedures. Analyzes records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of station activities. Reviews and analyzes financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits. Prepares recommendations for upper management evaluation.

    Recommends capital expenditures for acquiring new equipment to increase efficiency and services. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within budget limits.

    Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation according to the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure company audit requirements are met to ensure continuity and compliance. Implement site-specific security plans and require staff to display ID badges. Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations. Direct investigations into internal and external complaints. May negotiate contracts with suppliers.

    Responsibilities:
    • Analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Respond to customer inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies or the business community.
    • Apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Interpret various instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
    • Present information to top management and/or boards of directors effectively.
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Manage and motivate personnel.
    • Strong organizational skills, written, and verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Write memos that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
    • Report to work regularly and on time.
    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
    • Remain stationary 50% of the time.
    • Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets, machinery, etc.
    • Lift up to 35 pounds.
    • Operate a computer and other office equipment constantly.
    • Walk short distances.
    • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
    • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
    • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods.
    • Lift/carry/move objects up to 10 pounds.
