    PURCHASING

    • Communicate effectively with external customers (e.g. Vendors, Customers, Brokers, etc.) and internal customers (e.g. various IWC employees and departments - Sales, Operations, Accounting, etc.)
    • Assist Procurement Agents with purchasing orders.
    • Communicates closely with our cross-functional partners to capture seasonal trends and events in the business as well as drive profitability with accurate costs.
    • Proactively reviews projected out of stock report daily to ensure we deliver on customer order fulfillment.
    • Analyzes economic order quantities, forecasts, lead times, vendor set-up, safety stock, etc., in-order to create efficient purchase orders with our suppliers.
    • May have some replenishment buying responsibility with specific instructions, quantities, vendors, pricing, etc.
    • Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.
    • Expedites open and late orders.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Maintains a 99% or higher service level to our customers.
    • Expedite delivery of product by communication with buyers, vendors and the transportation services.
    • Verify inventory status and delivery schedules.
    • Successfully resolve problems with delivery, supply, invoicing, rejections, etc.

    COMMUNICATION

    • Assist sales force with questions concerning product specifications and deliver dates.
    • Must have a positive interaction with both external and internal customers at all times.
    • Must be able to communicate, get along with and work well with other employees.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend all work instructions.

    INVOICE CONTROL

    • Confirm all purchase orders accurately using vendor confirmation as well verifying this cost using the loaded vendor price list.
    • Verify vendor invoice reconciliations.
    • Research shipping and billing discrepancies.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Associates Degree from a two-year college preferred.
    • Food Service industry and previous Procurement experience preferred.

    OTHER JOB DUTIES

    • Regular attendance and ability to complete assigned shift is essential.
    • Work is mainly performed in the Cookeville facility.
    • Occasional travel outside of office to food shows and/or training events.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
