    BASIC FUNCTION: The Ranch Carriage Driver is responsible for catching, feeding, grooming, harnessing/un-harnessing horses including all cleaning, watering, maintaining of horses, barn, grounds, fences and equipment. Must provide superior service to guests and conduct rides for all customers/guests. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of company's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).

    Previous customer service experience preferred.

    Must be experienced with horses.

    Must have ability to observe horses and notice any problems then initiate proper procedures to fix the problem.

    Must have experience with driving horses.

    Must have ability to operate all ranch machinery.

    Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

    Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

    Must possess excellent communication skills.

    Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.

    Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees.

    Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Must be able to observe equine actions and behavior to predict response.

    Resolves problems that may arise from employees, guests, horses, general ranch problems, etc.

    Assists in conducting riding lessons for guests as well as other drivers to better improve their horse sense skills.

    Performs all duties such as feeding horses, taking trails with guests, cleaning horse barn, feeding horses, etc.

    Takes personal responsibility for ensuring the success of the team.

    Ensures safety of all guests and employees.

    Performs housekeeping functions to keep work area clean and neat.

    Performs sales function.

    Always speaks first and last to guests in a friendly, courteous manner.

    Presents self properly in the work place at all times: full uniform including name badge in place in public areas, dress/uniforms always clean and pressed, personal grooming always up to standard.

    Attends all resort training, meetings, and functions as required.

    Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
