    Description

    Great opportunity to work within a Defense, Space, and Security department located in Oklahoma City (or Tukwila, WA). You'll be responsible for the design, procurement, and integration of the full mission systems capability onboard a commercial airplane.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, with a focus on self-protection capabilities.
    • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, aircraft certification requirements, and customer specifications.
    • Design and develop hardware and interface specifications for the Mission Systems self-protection capability onboard the airplane.
    • Test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, with a specific focus on self-protection effectiveness.
    • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with specified requirements.
    • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Research specific technology advances for potential application to address company business needs and enhance the self-protection capabilities of the program.
    • Focus on hardware qualification and aircraft certification processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration and testing of Mission Systems self-protection hardware and software.
    • Work closely with customers, including the US, UK, Korea, Turkey, Australia, and others, to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • Strong understanding of electronic and electrical system design principles.
    • Knowledge of hardware qualification and aircraft certification processes.
    • Familiarity with the E-7A program and its commercial derivative of the 737/767.
    • Proficiency in analyzing and translating complex requirements into practical system designs.
    • Experience in testing and validating system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, with a specific focus on self-protection effectiveness.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide support and troubleshooting for fielded hardware and software.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and program success.
    • Active US Security Clearance
