- Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, with a focus on self-protection capabilities.
- Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, aircraft certification requirements, and customer specifications.
- Design and develop hardware and interface specifications for the Mission Systems self-protection capability onboard the airplane.
- Test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, with a specific focus on self-protection effectiveness.
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with specified requirements.
- Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Research specific technology advances for potential application to address company business needs and enhance the self-protection capabilities of the program.
- Focus on hardware qualification and aircraft certification processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration and testing of Mission Systems self-protection hardware and software.
- Work closely with customers, including the US, UK, Korea, Turkey, Australia, and others, to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electronic and electrical system design principles.
- Knowledge of hardware qualification and aircraft certification processes.
- Familiarity with the E-7A program and its commercial derivative of the 737/767.
- Proficiency in analyzing and translating complex requirements into practical system designs.
- Experience in testing and validating system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, with a specific focus on self-protection effectiveness.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide support and troubleshooting for fielded hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and program success.
