    Position Summary:

    The PLC Service Engineer plays a crucial role in providing on-site technical support for natural gas compressor controls. This includes installing new controls, testing systems, troubleshooting, and conducting customer training. The role demands staying updated on equipment changes, adhering to company policies, and being adaptable to travel requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Field Service, this position is based in Rosenberg, TX.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver on-site technical support for natural gas compressor controls, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Interpret and apply electrical schematics accurately for industrial control panels/cabinets.
    • Conduct training sessions for clients on new equipment operation.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of work assignments and expenses.
    • Stay updated on equipment advancements and modifications.
    • Communicate issues and updates to supervisors promptly.
    • Adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism.
    • Represent the company positively and build client relationships.
    • Adjust work hours to meet customer demands.
    • Develop expertise in natural gas compressor controls and computer systems.
    • Utilize computer skills for efficient work processes.
    • Keep accurate records of work activities.
    • Use hand tools effectively and safely.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Associate or bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Controls or Electrical Engineering preferred.
    • Relevant experience or technical certification accepted in lieu of a degree.
    • 2+ years of experience in a technical field preferred.
    • Proficiency in industrial control panels/cabinets and electrical schematics.
    • Basic computer skills required, including MS Office software.
    • Flexibility with work hours and travel (up to 100%).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong candidate should possess: clear communication, adaptability, commitment to quality, enthusiasm, and effective task prioritization.

    Work Arrangement: Onsite
