- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure the product meets production standards.
- Inspect, test, and measure product using measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Test various electric and gas components and equipment for proper function.
- Works with Engineers, Supervisors and Group Leaders to correct any discrepancies in the items inspected.
- Accept or reject work in process and finished product.
- Perform all work in accordance to company policies including safety PPE.
- Document and report all findings using Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally. Ability to present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees in the organization.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and fractions. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Related education in the field of technology preferred.
- At least two years of experience in related field preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
- May require travel
