    We are currently looking for a Project Specialist to join our team in Carmel, IN The Project Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for building projects. Project Specialists review budgets, update blueprints and manage external contractors to ensure construction projects are meeting deliverables.

    What are the responsibilities of the Project Specialist?
    • Assist Project Managers to ensure the projects are completed in accordance with company goals, project budget and
      project schedule from initial budget acceptance through final acceptance of buildings, on a timely and economic
      basis. Includes construction trade contracts, company policies and industry standards.
    • Research vendors and contractors to find the best option for the project, establish contracts and coordinate
      proposals.
    • Prepare project cost estimates and track actual costs compared to budgeted cost.
    • Organize and update blueprints and plan documents throughout the construction process.
    • Track change order information, keeping organized documentation of the process.
    • Organize all contracts related to assigned construction projects. Follow up through execution.
    • Assemble close out documents including warranties, operating manuals, etc.
    • Collaborate with supervisor on any issues requiring escalation.
    • Compile data for critical decisions as requested.
    • Procure samples of specified materials from suppliers.
    • Manage RFI and submittal process as needed.
    • Answer telephones and respond to messages regarding team information.
    • Maintain collaborative subcontractor relationships.
    • Continuous follow up with contractors, designer, and management to coordinate and communicate all relative
      information to all parties.
    What are the role requirements?
    • Associate's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
    • Construction office experience preferred with knowledge of plotters, and scanners for blueprints.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
    • Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Must possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to balance and prioritize
      simultaneous projects and tasks.
    • Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances such as last-minute deadlines or other
      difficult situations.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others.
    • Must be willing to travel to various locations via driving, private or public air transportation.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
