    APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Registered Nurses (RN)- Med/Surg for our renowned client in Rochester, NY for 13 week contract, ending with a $500 bonus

    Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)- Med/Surg

    Work Location: Rochester, NY

    Shift: Day or Night shifts - 36 hrs/week

    Experience Required: 1+ years experience in specialty MedSurg

    Certification Required: Active RN License for WA, BLS from AHA, Prefer - NIHSS

    Payrate: $2232- $2412/week

    Job Description:

    The Registered Nurse - Med Surg is responsible for providing competent and compassionate patient care services to individuals admitted to the medical-surgical unit. As a Registered Nurse, the RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients under their supervision in the Med Surg unit. The RN will be accountable for ensuring that high-quality patient care is provided in compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

    • Renal, general med-surge medical and Peritoneal Dialysis
    • Common patient diagnosis: Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Renal Failure, CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Cellulitis, Abdominal Pain, Fall and other general medical diagnosis.
    • The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, evaluation, and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
    • Assumes the responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice.
    • A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg.
    • Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a plan of care that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient in Med Surg.
    • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques as a Registered Nurse
    • Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
    • Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
    • Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
    • Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
    • Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
    • Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
    • Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
