    Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
    Location: Elmhurst, New York 11373
    Department: Adult Surgical Clinic
    Assignment Dates: 14 weeks 
    Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to support an adult surgical clinic within an acute care hospital setting. This role requires a clinician who is confident managing medically complex patients and has strong experience in dysphagia assessment and treatment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders

    • Provide dysphagia assessments and implement appropriate treatment plans

    • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment

    • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge planning accurately and timely

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years of acute care Speech Language Pathologist experience

    • Experience treating medically complex patients

    • Dysphagia training and clinical competency required

    • Valid New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NYSED) – Primary Source Verification required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Current BLS certification
