Job summary
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the public and families seeking services related to the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program.The Community Health Assistant will provide breastfeeding education and support to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers via clinic visits, texting, telephone, and classes/support group meetings.
The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or GED, moderate experience in performing similar tasks in a hospital, clinic, nursing home medical corps or other medical treatment program,
- Provides breastfeeding education and support to pregnant women.
- Collaborates with local hospitals physicians employers community partners to coordinate help support for participants.
