    Role Overview:

    As LeadAutomotive Electrical Systems Engineer you will lead our Electrical Design Team. You will take full ownership of all electrical systems design challenges and lead the electrical team to deliver the most efficient system, achieving the highest quality, within budget and in a timely manner. This role will require a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a passion for pushing the boundaries of automotive technology.

    Outside of work, you carry a passion for vans, adventure and interacting with people.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Utilize SolidWorks software to generate comprehensive electrical schematics, layouts, and 3D models for various electrical components and systems.
    • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate electrical designs with mechanical and other engineering disciplines.
    • Carefully select appropriate components, such as inverters, batteries, charge controllers, etc., and successfully integrate them into the overall electrical system of the vehicle. Consider factors such as cost, performance, compatibility, and functionality during the selection process.
    • Ensure that all electrical designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations, including RVIA guidelines.
    • Conduct thorough tests and simulations using SolidWorks to validate and optimize electrical designs, ensuring that they meet the required standards for performance, safety, and reliability.
    • Analyze and interpret test data, making necessary adjustments to enhance the performance and efficiency of electrical systems.
    • Efficiently manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring that designs meet project requirements, deadlines, and budgetary constraints.
    • Coordinate closely with other engineering teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of electrical designs, schematics, and BOM's (Bill of Materials) using SolidWorks.
    • Generate reports, manuals, and technical documentation for future reference and development purposes.
    • Stay updated with changes in regulations and effectively incorporate them into SolidWorks designs.
    • Manage and maintain SolidWorks Electrical drawing templates, PDM/PLM data, drawing standards, and workflows.
    • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, technicians, and other professionals to achieve integrated and high-quality designs.
    • Provide technical support and expertise to cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth execution of projects.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in electrical design workflows.

    Work Schedule:

    • 8am - 430pm M - F

    Qualifications/Skills:

    We are in search of an experienced and driven Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer proficient in utilizing SolidWorks for designing and enhancing electrical systems and components for our vans, both present and upcoming.

    Your responsibilities will include spearheading the development of creative solutions, guaranteeing the efficiency and dependability of electrical systems, and making valuable contributions to our projects. This role will require close cooperation with diverse teams, effective project management skills, strong communication skills and anemphasis on accuracy and meticulousness.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

    • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and theories Capacity to effectively collaborate within a team setting
    • Outstanding communication abilities and the skill to explain intricate technical details clearly
    • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
    • Proficiency in project management with an emphasis on achieving deadlines and project goals
    • Understanding of industry standards and regulations pertaining to electrical design
