    Description
    Senior Technician


    Job Responsibilities:
    Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Installs, Repairs, and Rebuilds machinery to produce best possible product quality & throughput.
    Maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
    Locates sources of problems by observing electrical and mechanical devices in operation.
    Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
    Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
    Plans and Implements Electrical installations and modifications
    Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
    Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
    Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
    Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

    Trains and directs junior maintenance associates.
    Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor

    Qualifications and Skills

    Working knowledge of Electrical troubleshooting and repair
    Working knowledge of 3 phased motors & controls (VFD circuits)
    Working knowledge of PLC based mechanical equipment
    Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
    In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
    Ability to lift and move heavy equipment

    Qualifications and Skills (continued)

    Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
    Use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
    Familiarity with safety standards and regulations

    Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge

    Working knowledge of CNC machinery
    Working knowledge of Cleanroom systems
    Working knowledge of Process Water Cooling systems
    Working knowledge of Wastewater Treatment systems
    Fabrication (welding, materials shaping & design)
    Use of CAD
    Project Management
    Building Maintenance (plumbing, drywall, electrical, etc.)
    HVAC Systems
    Hazardous Materials (Inventory, Waste, Handling, Manifesting, etc.)


    Must:
    Follow all Safety policies and practices
    Work well individually and as a group
    Be available to work overtime (including Saturdays when needed)
    Maintain attendance in accordance with WCQ Policy
    Provide common personal hand tools (WCQ provides specialty tools)
