    Summary

    Sylvan Road Capital, LLC is a premier investment management firm focused on single-family

    residential (SFR) investments and one of the original pioneers in the SFR industry. We are

    looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing

    team. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing property tax underwriting and helping

    manage property tax expenses for current assets under management and future acquisitions.

    This position will report to the Vice President of Asset Management.

    The ideal candidate will have experience managing and forecasting residential property taxes, a

    strong understanding of how property taxes are set , excellent analytical and critical thinking

    skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Specific Responsibilities

    ? Work with a third party property tax servicer to ensure proper tax compliance.

    ? Analyze and oversee all property tax assessments and appeals as recommended by a

    third-party tax provider.

    ? Evaluate accuracy of property tax underwriting for each jurisdiction and recommend

    improvements to the tax estimating process

    ? Collaborate with the internal technology team to incorporate tax capabilities into the

    firms proprietary asset management platform.

    ? Provide property tax underwriting services / advice for market expansion exercises, bulk

    acquisition projects, and single acquisitions on an as-needed basis.

    ? Provide property tax consulting services and informational resources to other

    departments, as needed.

    ? Stay up to date on changes in property tax laws and regulations.

    ? Proactively identify and mitigate property tax risks.

    ? Report on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, or as determined by the supervisor.

    ? Ad hoc reporting and management of special projects.

    ? Preparing investor reporting and communicating portfolio details to management and

    investors.

    ? This role will work very closely with Senior Asset Management, Portfolio Management,

    Acquisitions, and Investors.

    Prerequisites for Success

    ? Bachelor's degree.

    ? 3+ years of experience in single-family real estate with significant exposure to property

    tax management.

    ? In-depth knowledge of property tax regulations in multiple states.

    ? Highly organized, extremely proactive, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to

    multitask and communicate effectively.

    ? Self-motivated, able to work independently to meet deadlines, respond to department

    requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to

    identify quality solutions.

    ? Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the local residential real estate market

    and landscape.

    ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ? Advanced knowledge of MS Windows, Excel, and Word.

    ? Must be comfortable learning new computer systems.

    ? Ability to hold confidential all information that is proprietary to the management of Sylvan

    Road, subsidiaries, affiliates, and investors.

    Compensation and Benefits Summary:

    ? Location: 100% Remote Work Environment.

    ? Status: Full-time Exempt.

    ? Salary: Base Salary and Bonus commensurate with experience and education.
