**JOB SUMMARY**

Transport, deliver and set up mobile dental office in accordance with established policies, procedures and traffic regulations/safe driving practices, and to perform general support duties for the daily operations of the mobile dental office. Participates in Patient Centered Health Home (PCHH) Team.

**GENERAL REQUIREMENTS**

Transports the Mobile Dental Office to various destinations in accordance with established policies, procedures and traffic regulations/safe driving practices; parks and set up the van in accordance with pre-determined parking specifications and sets up the mobile office using proper procedures for fuel levels, levels with jacks and sets up for daily screening.

Inspects vehicle for proper functioning of all aspects of Mobile Dental Office for safety and proper maintenance of lights, signals, brakes and tire inflation. Informs Dental Director/Facility Supervisor of any malfunction.

Performs any special instructions pertaining to a particular parking location as applicable. This includes but is not limited to working with personnel at a given site for parking, general communication with personnel at a given site regarding parking problems.

Communicates daily with Director, Dental Services.

Maintains travel, mileage and maintenance log reports daily and submit as scheduled to Manager.

Fuels the Mobile Dental Office as necessary.

The driver is responsible to secure daily paperwork and restock supplies as needed.

The driver will set up the Mobile Dental Office.

The driver will determine if a site represents a safety issue for the staff and will make necessary accommodations, such as remaining with the Mobile Dental Office during the visit if it is determined this is prudent, in extreme situations.

The driver will arrange for maintenance on the Mobile Dental Office, working with scheduling with minimal interruption to the Office schedule.

The driver should attempt to perform minor maintenance to the interior of the bus, i.e., replace light bulbs, tighten screws, etc. as long as the company has the parts available. If the repair is more substantial, the driver will work with the Supervisor to obtain outside services.

When there is inclement weather, or potential inclement weather, the driver will get reliable indications of unsafe driving conditions as early or as reasonable as possible and make a decision with the VP COO and Dental Director as to whether the bus will go out that day or if the site needs to be cancelled.

Perform DA I duties, as needed

Take x-rays, as necessary

Help GSA,as necessary

Other duties as assigned.

General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.

May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.

May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Periods of mild to moderate stress levels and fluctuating workloads may occur.

May be scheduled as needed including overtime relocation outside of home site or department.

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**

High School Diploma or GED

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Minimum of one (1) year of CDL B License experience (Preferred)

New Graduate considered

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:**

Ability to read and comprehend written materials. Ability to write clearly and concisely. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or for small groups. Ability to make formal presentations to groups. Ability to communicate in Spanish and English with patients and family members of various educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
