    Health, Safety and Environmental Manager (multi-site)
    Midland, Texas


    OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
    Develop, coordinate, and implement corporate safety, health and environmental programs

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION -MAIN:


    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and codes governing environment, health and safety.
    • Responsible for all environmental controls, monitoring, reporting and other applicable environmental topics.
    • Ensures and records all safety, health and environmental reporting.
    • Facilitates accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
    • Responds and aids in emergency situations.
    • Identify company safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
    • Monitor in-house EHS programs to ensure operational effectiveness, including proper procedures, documentation, and personnel updates and/or training.
    • Review and maintain safety procedures, employee lists.
    • Inspect facilities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Administer all worker's compensation claims by investigation. Check to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Administer and maintain the SDS Program.
    • Assure the appropriate, effective, and timely facilitation of all required safety training programs for facilities.
    • Conduct work-site analysis and safety audits.
    COMPETENCIES/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING PREFERRED

    • Preferred – Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
    • Required – Minimum 10 years' experience in Health, Safety & Environmental profession.
    • Preferred - CSP, CIH, CHP or CHSP certification.
    • Preferred – Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing environments.
    • Required - Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Required – Read, Write and Comprehend English.
    • Must be able to travel RESPONSIBILITIES OF EH&

    S POSITION:

    • Provide technical safety and health support and information to production and corporate personnel.
    • Prepare written safety and health programs and policies.
    • Identify company safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
    • Participate in new product/process reviews including process hazard analyses, Operator Training, etc.
    • Support corporate engineering to implement engineering controls to minimize safety hazards.
    • Support personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.
    • Promote a safety and health culture through internal company media, newsletters, and specific training programs.
    • Implementation of Hazard Communication program.
    • Understand Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes.
    • Advise manufacturing partner and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the company must comply.
